AgitPov Wall Projection

Words copilation

Projection made over the walls of the "Grande Bibliothèque", the biggest library of Quebec, part of an urban intervention for an event to commemorate the 124th birthday of Montreal.

How does it work?

The projection was part of The "Roue de Vélo", an urban intervention proposed by Alexandre Castonguay as a continuation of the Agit Pov project. The intervention consisted an installation with two main elements.

The first part was an enormous wheel made of smaller bike wheels, that could be spinned by the participants to the event while interaction with static bikes near the Roue de Vélo.

The second part, in which I was part of the team, was a massive projection made over the walls of the library. It had 40 meters of width per 20 meters of height and it worked worked as a background for the first part.

In the projection were shown words with a randomic behavior that were defined and programmed by the team, pretending to exposed them as a whole, but letting them being recognizable when they just appeared.

These words were sended by the spectators from the intervention through a simple interface, where they could define the color that their words should appear.
